Moustache Leisure Bike
Moustache make special bikes. The reason is that they design their bikes from scratch. They only do electric bikes and the bikes are designed around this concept. They ensure that the bikes are not just well made but are a joy to use and totally practical.
An example of the thought that goes into the bikes are the frames. The frames are hydroformed, which means that water is injected at high pressure into the tubes so that they take the shape of the molds. This allows for more control over the thickness of the tubes. The top tube on the Samedi bike is a great example. This is directly connected to the seatstays, unlike a normal bike where the seat stays are welded onto the down tube. This gives a more compact design, more strength in the overall structure and it means that vibrations from the rear wheel go up through the top tube rather than to the saddle.
The Samedi has been one of Moustache’s most popular lines. It is an all purpose bike which can be used for leisure, commuting, shopping and is versatile to go on road or on light off road tracks.
Bosch Drive System
It is fully equipped with lights, mudguards and a good rack. This particular version has the new Bosch Activeline plus motor. This is lighter than previous motors and still delivers a good punch with up to 50 NM of torque. The motor is also the quietest that Bosch have produced. The battery included is the 400 watt hour battery. This will give a range of up to 70 miles. As with other Bosch motors it has 4 levels of assistance, from Eco up to Turbo.
The bike is available in 3 sizes and is also available with a low step frame (the Samedi 28 Open).
