Scott E-Sub Tour Men

Scott Leisure E Bike

As the name suggests this is a great touring bike but it is also perfect for the commuter or the leisure cyclist.

Comfortable Riding

The riding position is quite upright and comes with a raised adjustable stem so that you can position the handle bars just where you want them. Also assisting comfort is a plush syncros saddle, suntour front suspension and spacious 50 c wide tyres, reinforced with puncture protection.

It has fitted front and rear lights that run off the battery – so no fear of the lights running out of battery. It has everything else that you would expect on a tourer – a substantial rack for carrying your panniers, a kick-stand, chain guard and good quality shimano hydraulic disc brakes.

Bosch Drive System

It is equipped with the latest Bosch motor – the Bosch Active plus. This is a mid-mounted motor that is lighter than previous versions and features no resistance. This means that if you choose to cycle the bike without the motor there will be no resistance from the motor. The battery is the largest that Bosch do – the 500 watt hour. This will give you a range of up to about 100 miles in Eco mode and around 50 to 60 miles using a mix of modes and on mixed terrain.

We would always recommend the Bosch system and this motor is perfect for the tourer or commuter. It gives plenty of assistance (up to 250% of your input) but is more efficient than the Performance Line CX  which gives 300% assistance and is typically fitted to mountain and performance bikes.

Lower Frame Available

The bike is also available in ladies’ frame version – with a lower cross bar and also a unisex step through frame with the battery still on the frame and not on the rack.

What Size?

Gazelle have produced the following guide for sizing. This is only a guide and will depend on leg length, body length, rider preference etc. You should also bear in mind that the Dutch are practically born on bikes and like to ride with their feet dangling in the air. Therefore, unless you are a very confident rider tend towards a smaller size,

Size Height in Feet and Ins Height in Metres
46 ..
49 4’9″ to 5’4″ 1.50 to 1.65
53 5’3″ to 5’7″ 1.60 to 1.75
57 5’6″ to 6’1″ 1.70 to 1.85
61 6’1″ to 6’4″ 1.85 to 1.95
